    3.3 Humanity will not be truly free until we cast off the fetters of fundy religions. Humanists, we need to up our game & become a global force. Stop accepting rules placed on you by religious people. Encourage free & critical thought. Encourage secularism.

    2.3 What is it like for these families to be sponsored by a religious group? Are they covertly pressured to attend services & expected to adhere to a religious version of morality? Ditto for babies adopted into religious families for the purpose of spreading the faith virus.

    1.3 In Canada, immigrant families are often sponsored by church/religious groups. As a formerly devout Xtian, this disturbs me because I KNOW that there are always strings attached. Christians believe it is their mandate to try & convert people to their own version of faith.

    and it does not mean they are terrible people who should not be allowed to voice their opinions. Dialogue (which involves listening) is how we learn what drives others & find common ground. Shutting people down makes them dig in harder without examining their beliefs.
