Nikki Haley, if successful in her run for president, would be the first accountant?

A fiscal conservative who can count and the NFL without pliability? Nikki Haley and Tom Brady this week! Don't miss it. @NikkiHaley @TomBrady youtu.be/7656H027pgU via @YouTube

You are packaging your discomfort in a way that suggests you are a victim of injustice committed by judges. Facts matter.

So you can give me your opinion of conduct which made *me personally* so uncomfortable that I exercised my choice to leave? I left without pursuing action because I am disinterested in packaging my discomfort for others. I can talk about my experience how and when I want to.

Please give a specific example of conduct directed at you that you feel is discriminatory so I can relate

Literally yes. MHRC sides with plaintiffs for lesser conduct than I experience every single time I appear in Maine courts. The problem is: how do you sue the courts themselves? The answer is: you don’t. You make sure people within earshot find out what’s up and keep it moving.

are you saying you were discriminated against?

I’m maintaining licensure. I dip my toes back in enough to know it’s not worth it. Other queer would-be lawyers often ask for my take. They deserve to know Maine courts are a hostile work environment above and beyond adversarial process before choosing where to build a career.

Right - but since you post it on social media you are looking for affirmation or at least comment and my comment is “don’t give up the practice of law over some gender shit”

Who I am is not dependent on what others do or say. Also: I get to decide what level of disrespect I’m willing to tolerate, and for what reasons.

who you are is not dependent on what others do or say. A license to practice law is a privilege and empowering. You can help yourself by helping others.

Sorry you’re in a position where you feel like tolerating that is your best option. I miss law, but not enough to live full-time as somebody else.
