In case you haven't noticed, no matter how bad the Republicans are, and how much damage they do, Clinton, Obama and the top Democrats seem to be doing quite well financially. In effect, they have no skin in the game.

Really sad that the whole frog-boiling water thing is apocryphal as there are so many situations where it's useful. But yeah, plugged-in D's are the last to realize (possibly b/c the leadership is a million years old and reminiscing over a scotch with Strom Thurmond 50 years ago)

FSB/GOP incentive is to over-hype chances of chaos. Tho GOP officials+judges flout law+norms, they have a lot of bureaucracy to sweep aside. Perhaps more danger of Dems giving in to collaborationist press & GOP whining as Gore did to Baker-whines than unilateral electoral theft?

Back in 2000, all Baker had to do was make a face like he had colic & Warren Christopher & Gore basically gave the away the store. Hopefully current Dem leaders won't dare fold like that, as if virtually collaborationists themselves, no matter what NYT prints.
