Hrm, all my web stuff that uses camera access via MediaDevices.getUserMedia() are broken in Firefox (release and nightly) but work in Chrome... No errors in console, I am in a secure context, gave permissions, and the red icon is all glowing and throbbing like it should...
Source code: https://glitch.com/edit/#!/economic-enquiry?path=index.html:1:0 … View: https://economic-enquiry.glitch.me/ Works in Chrome, but not Firefox(es), even when manually calling .play() and with a clean profile.

Not quite sure it's a compat issue yet. More likely an interaction between OS and Gecko, a regression of some kind.
@kenkeiter said it works on 10.14.14 so now I just need someone with 10.14.16 to try for apples-to-apples (ish) test... - 2 more replies

Happy-ish ending: This was a *real* bug! Was web-rtc code that broke camera access in some non-pro Macbooks. Broken since Firefox 64 (!!!). Need the whole hardware line in CI I guess

It maybe an issue on Mac, bc it works here on release and nightly on Linux
-
Yep, looking maybe like specific version of Mac OS X, or even OS+hardware combo still possible.

Very strange – this works for me on Firefox (release, macOS 10.14.4)...
