We are *very* far from P2P PWAs... And *pretty* far from PWAs being a sane experience (discovery is part of that)... And still quite far from web app capabilities and UX having some basics that native app devs can expect.

I don't understand why apps being removed from curated app stores means we need P2P technologies. You don't have to put your PWA in an app store, people just currently do because they're hard to discover in the browser. So the problem is discovery, not the transport protocol.
