Did you know you can create a separate @GoogleChrome profile ("Person") for each Google account you're signed into?
I do this to keep my work & personal accounts separate. It avoids the "account chooser" confusion, and lets you have different extensions installed for each Person

Yeah, one of my favorite features. I wish Firefox had a bit more of a native solution.

Does "about:profiles" not do the trick? I'm not a big Firefox user but have been thinking about checking it out

You can do it, but it's not as ergonomic in my experience (requires a desktop shortcut I think). IDK Chrome's profile support just feels very integrated. Container tabs are cool though, but imo solve a different problem. Profiles weren't enough to keep me using Chrome.

Yeah, this is what you want on firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/multi-account-containers/ … rather than attempting to muck with profiles.

Yeah, I use that, but it isn't quite what profiles provide. A simple example - profiles let me use extensions in profile A that have no access to profile B.

Yeah, true that! Works for most folks, but you are likely not most folks ;-]

I'm definitely not most folks lol I'm with you. Containers are great and I use them! A combination of profiles and containers would be suuuuuper cool. And maybe I'm just being silly and I should set up the profile via shortcut, but in Chrome it would be trivial and done already

There's probably a better profile manager/easier way to manage profiles in

There is also about:profiles, which is nicer for some use cases. But yeah, our profile management story is not great.

I didn't know about that!
