Been playing a game recently to try and not do anything that results in single-use plastics. I've got air travel today... and it's plastic garbage as far as the eye can see.

These are both great goals. In-flight plastic is pretty terrible. I'm going to try and bring my own meals and snacks for my next trip to see if I can do the same.

Yeah, not buying anything after entering the airport until exiting on the other end... less garbage and less $ to hostage capitalism!

Started doing this in 2019. I plan (based on what events I want to be at) all flights & travel. Helps also w/ jetlag (no more hopping 10 timezones for 2 days), but also reduces nr. of flights. Also, more trains—takes longer but work on trains to offset. Works esp. well in Europe

I love trains... in Europe. Trains in America are pretty shit. Like, microwaved bagel level bad.

I read too much Wired magazine in the 90s... I know that stuff like that takes 50 years to hit market
