What kind of thing could we do here? In many cases what is blocked is a script so there isn't necessarily a space in the page where we might be able to show a placeholder of some kind.

In-page will fail, we've learned that. A more prominent visual indication that "things that were tracking you were blocked" would be good because: * Firefox gets more credit for working on your behalf to protect you. * If stuff is broken, it's the *trackers*, not Firefox.

is it also not in the shield icon breakout? or do you mean specifics?

(as a user) Shield icon? (as a browser developer): The shield icon isn't effective for me. It doesn't say "The page might be broken and it might be because we blocked bad stuff to protect you". It doesn't say how many things blocked and from where. I had to open the console.

In a fit of irony, Royal Mail's parcel tracking is also broken by Tracking Protection.

Is this going live soon? Should I turn off uBlock Origin and test this?
