In my continued quest to create an inspiring Timeline, I'm realizing I only want to follow people who Tweet original content. @instagram has been criticized for not supporting native reposting, but as time goes by, that choice seems quite smart. I wonder how intentional it was.

Really? I don't find many accounts with consistency in the quality of their RTs or quote tweets. Right now I struggle heavily with following
@karaswisher because her own stuff is amazing (and I want that in my TL) but her RTs are rarely as interesting. -
It's only recently dawned on my because I found I could create an inspirational and interesting Instagram feed pretty easily after one big pass on my followers and one trip to the discover section. Here, it's a *lot* of iterations to get to that outcome (perhaps infinitely many).

You know you can follow someone but not see their native RTs, right?
-
Yeah. That works for a handful of accounts. But I'm not gonna take time to go through and do all that. Not obviously worth it. Easier to unfollow.
-
Roger that.

You had one job at

Retweets and quote tweets both increased sharing on Twitter. They appeared to be good for the health of the ecosystem and the for the business. While I worked at Twitter I never thought to say "should we turn off Retweets?" (And I was outspoken on a lot of things.)

Why can’t anyone at
$twtr figure out how to fucking monetize the damn thing? It’s the best real time news app by far and you have some of he most powerful ppl as users. There are unique sub divisions as well like#cryptotwitter &#financetwitter that bring a lot of action. -
Have you considered applying for a position? They have an office in NYC. (I'm being serious. Not trying to be a wiseass.)
