I say again the protests are overwhelmingly unpopular across ages and political persuasions. The common Canadian views them as a lawless imposition backed by Americans.
Sir, using children in such cases is obviously despicable. It is a practice long-used by our adversaries dating back to the last century. The Nazis building ammunition plants near schools and the like.
They are unpopular, but there's a danger in overplaying the idea that they are an import from south of the border- Trudeau sometimes seems to forget that anyone lives between Etobicoke Creek and the Cascade Mountains, and that's a vulnerability with "the common Canadian."
Would not paint this with such broad strokes. Ottawa often forgets about the prairie provinces and western Ontario. But for the imaginary line and special relationship, those folks could be one of us.
I would find it absolutely hilarious if Canada invaded the United States over this. I'd put good money on them making it at least as far as Tennessee, too.
