I'm open to this argument, but so many people haven't had this particular experience with new learners. What broke?

Yes they have. You just didn't hear about them.

It's not like we didn't run sessions here locally in Austin. I didn't say "majority;" I'd say the number of experiences of people I've witnessed personally and heard of secondary is in the "many" range.

k, I've heard 0, so I'll just move on. I really really don't understand why people want others to use Stack so badly. I want you to not, but whatevs, continue on.

People want to use stack because it solves real problems for them. I don't see why this is incomprehensible. There are many tools that I don't use personally, while understanding why others do like then.

I want to fiddle with build tools for approximately 0 time ideally and I'm happy to accept compromises on other fronts for that. Stack is great for this. If I had other priorities I'd use other tools.

exactly but Stack is awful at this, so I move on. I also don't tell newbies to use PHP. Wanna try to talk me into that to??? I don't get it.

I have had a dramatically different experience than you to come to such differing conclusions. I don't know why, but I want you to understand that there are a lot of people with experiences similar to mine, and writing all of those people off is bizarre.

From my understanding, stack historically (and possibly still today) solves many problems that were basically impossible without Nix. And Nix, dearly though I love it, is a huge pain in the ass, and was more so in the past.

I agree Nix requires massive amounts of learning and has many problems. I also don't think this is relevant to Stack. But I also have no idea what's going on any more??

I don't even know why this came up again. I think someone pressed one of the twitter buttons.
