Whoever tells @snoyberg to "to stop using Hackage, full stop" can please exit the community. There aren't many that have invested as much time, effort, and energy into making Haskell a wonderful language to use, especially at work.
While a terrible thing to say, and you may be annoyed, you don't speak for "the community."

I understand your frustration, but please consider the consequences of what it means to "exclude (or include) [from what you claim is] the community." It's why we are now in this mess. Nobody "should be included/excluded" any more than you should.
