this fucked up GHC's schedule more than once when people would say "THIS HAS TO BE FIXED FOR US BEFORE RELEEEEEEASE"

so then you fucking hold up to fix some insane bug affecting like 2 people, giving people more room to pile shit onto you & other devs

people have absolutely figured out how to grease the wheels and exploit free, open source software. GHC is no different

this is also, partially, why I'm kind of 110% done with the Haskell community's near freakish-obsession with "politeness"
