The best thing to do with Scala is: don't. I am sorry it's all fucked. Work around it.

No. Many of us have simply moved on. We spent years working around Scala, and its childish politics. Others choose to continue suffering :(

I use Haskell almost exclusively. If I have to use the JVM, use eta-lang. Scala has been banned in my work.
