“Worse” depends on the metric, right? maybe your code is so clever that it becomes an obstacle for non seniors in the team. I think it’s normal to compromise.

But the non-seniors don't know what an obstacle actually is. They are not correctly evaluating what is preventing their progress. This is the problem to tackle, not instituting false compromise, which universally fails.
