OK, fast compilation is not exactly a language feature, but I wanted to see how much pain it causes relative to language features.
I am of the opinion that you will never get fast compilation, for as long as the compiler is written in scala.

I don't care so much about compile times, and that's the main reason I'm asking. From results so far, it's bigger that the other 3 combined.

I don't care so much either. I care about fixability more so than current brokenness. Scala scores poorly on fixability.
