      Newtyping everything to appease globally unique type classes is annoying, but I haven't seen a satisfying approach for non-global TCs.

      I think that the meaning of a type is the operations that are available on it. So a newtype is exactly the right solution.

      @adelbertc Although this problem hasn't seen anything better, Control.Lens#Wrapped makes much easier.
