Our JVM garbage collection pauses in production are literally caused by a lack of tail calls. How does the JVM not have tail calls yet?
@runarorama It was asked at a conference recently. They are ummin-and-aahing over whether it would be useful.

@dibblego if I had to choose just one feature for a compiler to have, discarding all others, tail call elimination would be that one feature -
