Alright so here's mine. Much of the blowback against FTP is *social* not *technical*. Folks learned about it way too late in the 7.10 cycle

It's not going to be a disaster to wait until 7.12, is it? By then people won't be as upset about the surprise and will probably be pro FTP

@dibblego I agree with the technical substance of FTP, I just don't think delay would have those negative outcomes

@dibblego the AMP is a road map here; splitting it across a couple releases didn't cause it to bitrot and helped communicate the changes
