I think what's frustrating me about the "programming is/isn't maths" conversation is that there's false dichotomies at play

@dibblego I didn't mean to say you thought that. Just meant that the communication failure happened long ago in the pipeline.
@ClarissaAdjoint Yes I have a suspicion of where this problem comes from too. It's why I quit CS lecturing a decade ago. It's a disgrace.
