@puffnfresh That's because they are unfamiliar with the idea of brutal critique and fail to realise that this is exactly the problem.

@dibblego @puffnfresh And "appeasing fragile egos" can actually make poeple listen, in my experience. It certainly helps with me anyway!

@d_christiansen @puffnfresh "Making people listen" is distinct to "helping people get it" -- don't conflate the goal.

@dibblego @puffnfresh Listening is the first step towards "getting it". Most people listen with the heart and brain together.
