You know it's a dud when the best answer to "What is OO?" is a defensive "Yeah but you can't tell me what FP is!" (even though I can).

@dibblego I agree that the term OO is useless. So, let's move on and discuss well-defined things, including the design of "OO" languages.
@fronx I am really truly hoping we can move on from this OO nonsense soon, but fear it will be replaced by yet more nonsense.
