@ajsutton Mostly dev. I write in a style that lets me code faster and is easier to express what I want, and it’s more performant for free.

@_spyder You keep saying its more performant. Have you measured it? Because my contention is that you're wrong about that.

@ajsutton OK, a specific example. ELJ is packed to the gills with FP these days, and the new release loads a functional editor in ~0.2s.

@_spyder Imagine how fast it could go if you didn't use FP. :) Seriously, profile and analyse some GC logs.

@ajsutton And to the dev speed point, I couldn’t have made it this good this quickly without the FP changes.

@_spyder If FP makes programming easier, you wouldn't have started this thread by complaining about it using all your mental energy.
