      Finding it hard to come up with a nice #fsharp solution which mixes TPL (in particular Tasks and ContinueWith) with mapping over options.

      @TheColonial in a more robust type system you would use OptionT monad transformer. It's just code repetition otherwise and F# forces it.

      @TheColonial I think you want TaskT on Option (not really fixed) and not OptionT on Task (easily fixed).

          @dibblego I have an option which needs to become task, that may then become other tasks.

          @TheColonial yeah I think the monad that is Task stacked on Option. No easy fix because no higher kinds in F#. Copy/paste is only solution.
