@nuttycom @dibblego Point is part of the definition of Monad. There are purely monadic functions that you can't write without it.

@pelotom @nuttycom The point is that point is nowhere near as useful as is often (and this case) made out. It is also in the way a lot.

@dibblego @nuttycom That may be, but sometimes it is necessary.
