@jedws @tomjadams all the studies I known of that say being vegetarian is god for you have been debunked as bad science.

@purefn @jedws I didn't become vege for the alleged health benefits, but am interested in seeing all the angles.

@tomjadams @purefn many I know do it for ethical reasons, I've not heard the claim that it was of and by itself healthier

@jedws @purefn Mine was "ethical" (not wanting to kill) & environmental, not health. Both of them appear to be crap though (in AU).

@tomjadams @jedws environmental is crap everywhere from what I've read - if you get grass fed instead of grain fed, which is also healthier.

@purefn @tomjadams some of the most ethical eating you can do in this country is to eat (properly sourced) kangaroo
