It's people we care about. In times like these we need to stand up and help each other. Scala isn't any one person or group. It's an amalgamation of those people who support it and work together for it.

And there are core values that need to be upheld. I think Scala learned too late that tolerated intolerance is not ok. The community divided and your post reflects what I've seen from the outside.

When I first attended a Typelevel conference, I got the very creepy feeling that somehow my gender was more important to too many people than my interest in the technology. That was four years ago. Things have not improved since then.
