Thanks. I think @EmbAustraliaBA have generally given up on getting Australians out of Buenos Aires. At least, there are no further flights planned to permit it as far as I am aware.
I was able to talk on the phone to DFAT and was told, I quote, "there is nothing we can do."
While we are unable to guarantee free passage to the airport or a seat, Australian travellers should be aware that there will be two LATAM flights today: LA9513 to Sao Paolo at 12:30pm and LA1104 to Santiago at 13:30.
Tickets for any available seats can be purchased at the airport. Future flights cannot be guaranteed
Well you probably didn’t talk to the embassy in BA because that is near impossible. They didn’t even have any info on their website until it was nearly too late. Were not at all interested in taking our details or returning our calls.
I was able to contact the embassy in BA.
