we form "communities" around tools which is deeply problematic in itself. Pointing out that a tool is problematic is definitely useful.

I think it's entitled to demand criticism to be presented in a particular way. This entitlement is common on Scala issue trackers, forums, etc. and constructive work. I think that's the point now.
