The next time you call someone "toxic" or a "troll", reflect on how casually you did so, with absolute social acceptance, encouragement and impunity. That's what it was like to call someone a faggot or homo (pejoratively) in the 1980s. History repeats.

We didn't get over "gay bashing". I'm in college and people still do it all the time. Just a few years ago, one fo my best friends killed himself after a group of people he thought were his friends assaulted him and called him homosexual slurs.

Right. We have made significant progress since the 1980s. Let's just not use hyperbole and nonsense in exploiting a brain hack to achieve an othering outcome, and see what happens?
