The next time you call someone "toxic" or a "troll", reflect on how casually you did so, with absolute social acceptance, encouragement and impunity. That's what it was like to call someone a faggot or homo (pejoratively) in the 1980s. History repeats.

Should we expect a "toxic troll pride" movement in future years?

One is to do with someone's chosen behaviour, one is used pejoratively for sexual orientation, something that is *not* a choice. You're deliberately conflating two very different circumstances. Indeed, I'd say you're being a toxic troll.

I agree, there is some similarity (use of epithets.[ But there is also a key difference. Implying that gay people are bad is not ok. Gay people are real and have feelings. Trolls are fictional. Toxins have no feelings. Therefore it is ok to imply that trolls and toxins are bad.

calling _someone real_ a troll is much worse than just a hurtful slur, it is used to shut them up, to deny them right to speech, right to be heard, the very right to _exist_, as it is most usually followed by blocking, a virtual redrum.

Then what should we call those people who are a negative influence on a community?

Do you see these two groups as comparable in their degree of harm to others? Is "intolerance of intolerance" acceptable to you? What terms do you prefer or suggest?

There is no such things as "these groups" with any "degree of harm", so I cannot answer any further.
