Nailed it :) The only good faith interpretation of high school insults is that it is an invitation to play a game. I'll play any game you ask me to, even if begrudgingly sometimes. So, what's the score?
I might consider it. Feels … weird. Letting things escalate feels morally obligatory. It feels somewhat dishonest to proactively intervene in that process.
