4/5 That makes no excuse for throwing slurs at people, but there does seem to be a disconnect in the things he says vs the response to him in particular. Please try and understand the history of all of this,and recognize the history of all of this and approach with empathy.

Propose to me an effective strategy for responding to infantile bullies. If you send me code-of-conduct. MD I will laugh at best. Maybe piss myself. "But the penalties you bring onto yourself!" That's exactly the point. There are none. And it is very effective. Your turn.

I agree that is one strategy, with different trade offs. I execute it occasionally. It sometimes has unacceptable penalties.

I'm curious what those penalties are? There are occasions where abuse is so systemic by someone that I tend to raise an alert to friends to protect them, in addition to blocking. That would be the only serious variation on my approach.
