I said there is no excuse for a mod who abuses their power in the online scala community to not know how to handle it. Those mods don't own the scala community. Your argument, while flippant and "funny" (being generous here), does not add anything to the conversation.

No dude, those mods own the Reddit channel, which is in fact not representative of the "Scala community". The "Scala community" you're talking about does not exist. Also, I'm not trying to be funny, I'm just stating a fact.

Seth stayed out of it, though. Credit where it is due. I'm not sure it'd be correct to bring in the rest of the crew who said nothing while m50d hurled abuse i modmail, but we all have lives, so who knows if they were taking a break from reddit and m50d simply ran wild.

The whole thing reminds me a bit of the failed scalaz takeover ...

/u/m50d has been pecking at the Scalaz community for years blaming @dibblego, and has now attributed this to all of Scalaz. His experience seems to have ended in 2016, and that's where he's deriving his claims of "toxicity". He is now a moderator. https://imgur.com/a/L4LYpgR 

Ironically, he is very -very- guilty of spreading some very corrosive opinions in /r/scala, and is now continuing this vendetta of his. How /r/scala came to nominate him as moderator is beyond me. They clearly did not vet for bias, or prior posting history.
