You know what I want to find? A custom prelude that imports only compositional functions and no data types. Look, if I want to use Text, I will tell you which one. I want to be able to import it all without having to specify a long chain of functions. Typeclasses can come too.

Papa does a good job of not messing about with too much data: https://github.com/data61/papa-prelude …

Might end up making my own personally. Thinking of forking protolude. I like it i just don't want it to import text

Beyond enforcing an opinion about how coding should be done in a team setting (with lenses, pure functions), custom preludes aren't that interesting. You'd spend your time more meaningfully if you just... didn't use the functions you don't like?

It's just to be able to important the whole prelude while minimizing name conflicts with other things.

You want a little bit of the Prelude, Control.Lens and a few other useful things. What Prelude would be today if we could (interventional politics aside -- technical benefit only).
