      I couldn't disagree more with that statement. To me a programming language is it's ability. Scala Centre is awesome³ but on the other hand we've had years of childish fighting and now Lightbend banning ppl for using emoji they don't like. No, I like Scala DESPITE the community.

      Maybe a programming language is its community and banning people for using emoji they dislike correlates to the technical merits of the language.
