The great programmers I've met are happy to write software in nearly any language. The mediocre ones have strong opinions on the "best" programming language.

Hey look, a truism from middle-aged white dude programmer. Everyone laugh at how wrong it is!
As long as you consider 99.9% (I haven't counted) of languages which are effectively "all the same language"; some syntax differences with no novel ideas. Then yes, I'd use almost any language for the aspiration of achieving a practical outcome, except for that one language.
