The most I've seen is Herbert hand-wringing over the cost of having a vocal member of the community point out the Haskell Committee's bad behavior, and you threatening physical violence to someone who asked you to back up your claim.

I teach Haskell and nobody succeeds at using Stack but they hear that it's what they should use. Prevents learning.

FWIW as a Haskell newbie, I initially avoided Stack because of People On Twitter, lost several days to yak-shaving, and then ended up using Stack.

Yeah, all of us using Haskell in production before stack and cabal existed, are also liars. After all, nothing else worked. Yeah that makes sense *eyeroll*.

So you don't need stack. Great! Is that *really* so hard to accept that it works for others?

I would accept it, if it were true, so yes, it is hard. I simply don't believe you. Am I obliged to? Is it so hard to accept that I am not?
