TBH I'd rather see talks around what are the good haskell libraries, and how to structure a project. What works / what doesn't, what are going to be traps folks from outside of the haskell world fall into.
Scala only continues to exist because, "I don't know of a better way to solve that problem." Let's learn better ways.

Sure, let's do that! But note that all of the easiest paths from just dropping Scala go back into the swamp. Rising water level of Haskell appreciation will lift all the boats, including Scala

But I can demonstrate that writing Scala is unethical, without ever talking about Haskell. In fact, I don't even know why we are talking about it.
