      Then my advice is to "contribute to eta and help it grow" or "create more Haskell jobs". Both are easier than turning Scala into a Haskell. I hope we are clear on that.

      I'll be honest, I kind of expected that response. The fact it happened like clockwork though is the real thing to bring home. There's no need in hiding it at all, "go somewhere else you FP pleb" is the response to wanting to do FP in Scala.

      No, his “contribute to Haskell” is the only possible response to “Scala adds nothing whatsoever of value to Haskell”, not to doing pure FP in Scala. I think Scala adds interesting things; they’re just not yet as mature.
