Tpol Chico added,
It's really dangerous for a community to lionize just a few people. Don't get me wrong, I really deeply respect the code written by all three on that slide (and more!), but new people are coming in all the time. Let's not pretend they're second-class.
It isn't as simple as "in > out", but you can boil it down like that if you like. Every community has attrition for many many reasons.
If so, then his slide is highly conflated and weird. All three of those individuals left for completely different reasons. There's very little commonality there. Also one of the slide occupants still writes Scala fulltime.
And what does it say? If you're going to tie it to Haskell (like John did), then I'm going to point out that Tony left because of community drama (same reason Paul Chiusano did). If you tie it to drama, then I'll point out Runar left for interest reasons. And Ed is really unique.
> Tony left because of community drama FYI, Daniel is once again, dead wrong. However, speaking with authority for the opinion of others is a long-term Scala tradition. Keep it alive.
