1/2 My reason for using stack: I am new to haskell and I want to develop without spending more time on environment setuo. I started with cabal only without stack. Later switched to stack, as tools using stack seems better. (intero)

Not doubting your efficiency without such tools, doubting my own. Having on the fly compilation and error reporting is precious to me. And I have yet to develop large projects where this is too cumbersome.
