Side note: I’m a film teacher for teens, and one of my queer teens did an AMAZING movie where a racist lesbian is called out on it and screams, “I’m not racist! I’m GAY, I know oppression!"

also the fact that her being JK in the first place instead of Joanne was done intentionally bc Harry Potter was being marketed towards boys and they thought it would do better if the author wasn't obviously a woman
