    The architectural blueprint for Gilboa prison, from where six Palestinians escaped yesterday, was freely available online for years courtesy of the firm (Poreh Yaacovi Karni Architects) that took part in its construction. Its website is now down.

    Khuloud is one of 81 Palestinian mothers whose children's bodies are held in Israeli morgues indefinitely, used as "bargaining chips." All they want is closure, dignified burial and the right to mourn. Israel denies them even that.

    Meet Mai Afana's mother, Khuloud, who is fighting to be able to bury her daughter & begin her healing. Mai was a mother, loving daughter & successful PhD student. She was killed by the Israeli government last June. Israel won't release her body to her family.

    Did you know that israel maintains post-mortem prison sentences? Since 2016, israel has refused to return the bodies of 6 Palestinian prisoners who died in detention. Some parents have been waiting for 4 decades for the remains of loved ones.

    The equation is always the same: occupied must give the occupier a safe space to carry out war crimes. In exchange we get bread.

    This is emblematic of the PA-Israel relationship; one that ensures Israel’s security is strengthened by mutual coordination and props up the PA through economic measures. Nothing about long-lasting means to end Israeli rule or provide safety and security to Palestinians.
