When I was a teenager, I was told to imagine myself in the 3rd person. Imagine that I can see myself from above. By taking yourself a step away from your current situation it helps you come back down a little bit.

Tip 2: Imagine the anxiety is a friend. They have just popped in to say hello. Understand why your friend is there, know that your feelings are normal, say hello to the friend and let them pass. You can once again distance yourself from the feelings and know you can control them

These are two things that really work for me personally and have helped many others rationalise the feelings of anxiety and understand them. Once you know the cause, it is much easier to deal with how you feel about it :)
