had a dream there was a social app called unpopular people called it "unpop" for short it was public/private but applied cooldowns to public reach & engagement if you were too far ahead, kind of like mario kart aesthetic was sort of punk ironically it was very popular

decentralized twitter spring/summer 23 bluesky - simple. basically twitter. will have to soul search as it grows mastodon - fine, but feels ancient. won’t escape IRC/XMPP/etc land farcaster - interesting tech, but almost all crypto. kinda conferenceish nostr - indecipherable

like many, been playing w lots of AI stuff lately and using copilot/gpt/etc to help w code interesting side effect for me is an almost laziness around writing new code from scratch also accepting most suggestions but friction around debugging since i didnt think or write them

Caelum awaits Issue 1 of the Blitmap comic series is almost complete, and our art team is finalizing the panels. Here are some completed pages of Caelum, one small corner of the Blitverse where Blitnauts and Logos live divided.

The Logos collectibles will come in 3 fidelities: pixel, 2D, and 3D. Here are some movement samples that our art team is creating for a Logo in its pixel state. Which movement is your favorite?

surprised and grateful that so many people (thousands!) have taken time out of their day to show interest in this i know it’s extremely vague (for now) and wanted to say thank you. it’s a pleasure to try to build something fun for you

feeling a lot lately that simple signed data could be a better fit for composable soulbound stuff than a blockchain free, instant, portable, non-fi, and with a few ergonomic tweaks it's probably also better ux just needs some light coordination/standardization on the format

this new social app is shaping up to be one of the most advanced ever created we still have a lot of work to do to make it click beyond just being a tech capability checklist but it’s exciting

digital belongings transform item economies in-game and communities out-of-game ai transforms procedural generation in-game and build pipelines out-of-game i think ai is probably more applicable to more types of games in the short term but both increasingly important over time

the biggest solve for a shared extensible game world would be normalized global + spatial event systems that any space/object/module could hook into most importantly this would include a synchronized update() event that fires at least every few seconds, but ideally 1hz or higher

love twitter but can't think of any place less fun in the "global town square" than the debate club exhausting area to focus on

new thought exercise has been a "headless game" or "game as api", with text or pixels as the universal interface u have to wonder if increasingly sophisticated frontends (maybe AI driven) could make sense of the lofi world more rapidly than new formats/tools can make a hifi one

i think stadia failed in part by being a lesser version of console and desktop gaming rather than an evolved version of web gaming

after a library is deployed once it can be reused by anyone the data compiler is project agnostic and is sort of a primitive package manager with better standards the npm-ish part becomes true (with analogs of yarn/pnpm becoming likely down the line as well)

flowchart explaining the rough process data contracts/sstore2 are well understood at this point so will skip that main unlock is using compressed data, then decompressing and loading at runtime via an injected helper script in the data uri "on-chain npm" etc should be possible

getting late but, threejs served as a fully on-chain data uri uses some new approaches, will share soon should work for many libs: gfx, ML, sound synthesis, emulators, etc sets the stage for higher functionality digital objects with no dependencies besides a browser
