I made this some years ago, but it is still kind of fun.
This is a map of 45,000 current & historical weather stations that have reported temperature data.
There are no political or geographic markers on the map, but it is still easy to identify land masses and some countries.

The 's Regional Economic Indicator page was just updated with June data, so I'll break some of it down by state. Starting with MN:
📉Unemployment rate fell to 1.8%
