In the past, Apple gloated about top-shelf recognition: New York Times, Wall-Street Journal, Time Magazine. Not award-factories like JDP.

@dhh Jobs periodically gloated about JD Powers awards because they're customer-centered in his keynotes. Rarely in mailers, yes. -
@dhh yeah, the prominence of that award on the iPhone page is weird. Feels like a metrics-driven placement to me. -

@dhh Have you considered it's because they're not getting top shelf recognition anymore? They've hardly innovated at all in the last few yrs
