The real test here will be whether Apple will allow developers a transparent process. How often will developers actually be able to get a fair hearing about Apple's processes from Apple itself? I mean, I want to be romantic here and think they will, but they'll need to prove it.

I really do hope Apple is serious about reform. There's a path forward here where Apple goes back to being a friend of developers, not a big bully they're all terrified of speaking out against. Apple of all companies know what it feels like to be pushed around (hello 90s).
So let's cautiously celebrate this MIGHT just be a first step down that road. Back to a place where you'd be proud to say I'M AN APPLE DEVELOPER. That doesn't erase the thousand open antitrust questions, but could give developers some livable conditions while those are answered.

Feels to me like Apple thinks you are either the bully or the bullied in this world, and they have shown which they would rather be.
For your hope to come true, Apple would have to regulate Apple effectively and make decisions that would reduce Apple's revenues and profits. Don't keep your fingers crossed.
