I'm not sure I understand your objection. Are you saying that, even in a scenario of limited supply, that it's better to vaccinate indiscriminately rather than to specifically target people who don't already have immunity from infection?

Their point was not that Indians shouldn’t get vaccinated, but that limited supply of vaccine should initially be directed to people who have zero immunity. Not sure I agree in practical terms, but their argument is not as terrible as the headline indicates.
