      Deepti Gurdasani Retweeted Rupert Beale

I don't know how the Telegraph can continue to platform people like Jay Bhattacharya who have promoted the idea that the Indian population is immune & shouldn't get vaccinated, possibly contributing to vaccine hesitancy & denialism in the current crisis.https://twitter.com/bealelab/status/1386088731229265923?s=20 …

There are no longer consequences to be calamitously wrong. Just look at the WSJ editorial page.

I'm not sure I understand your objection. Are you saying that, even in a scenario of limited supply, that it's better to vaccinate indiscriminately rather than to specifically target people who don't already have immunity from infection?

Here's the full text of the piece in question. It's very reasonable.https://theprint.in/opinion/majority-indians-have-natural-immunity-vaccinating-entire-population-can-cause-great-harm/582174/ …

The Telegraph exists to promote the extremist views of its owners -it should not be confused with a journalistic organ with any concern for reality, particular regarding COVID.

Their point was not that Indians shouldn’t get vaccinated, but that limited supply of vaccine should initially be directed to people who have zero immunity. Not sure I agree in practical terms, but their argument is not as terrible as the headline indicates.
